My name is Ken Daraseng, Alex's brother. Many of you already know him and how inspirational he is. If you don't know who he is and this is the first you've heard of SAGA, buckle your seat belts and hold tightly. We want to rock your mind.
Alex started SAGA last year to engage, inform, push boundaries, and inspire everyone. The group had great success last year, generating over $30,000 in charitable funds, and joining 400+ members in 8 short months. We had connections to dozens of other NGO's like Doctors without Borders, Engineers without Borders, and CAUSE Canada. SAGA touched people in all walks of life: High school students to professors to the children, widows, doctors, and relief efforts in Sierra Leone. SAGA even organized an African trip where students were able to see, touch, and simply feel the world in a new light.
(Un-)fortuntately, as some of you may or may not know, Alex (the founder) is currently travelling on the other side of the world with a return date of unknown. Last e-mails from him claim he was in the Malaysian mountains where he is continuing to inspire people and change lives.
SAGA will push on. SAGA is here to stay.
